This Privacy Policy describes how the Symo Annotations app ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Shop Information: Your Shopify store domain and access tokens necessary to authenticate with the Shopify API.
• Order Data: We access your order history to calculate and display sales analytics. This includes order dates, amounts, and currency codes.
• Annotation Data: Annotations you create, including titles, descriptions, dates, and color preferences. This data is stored securely in Cloudflare KV storage.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the annotation functionality of the app
• Calculate and display sales analytics data in visual charts
• Store and manage your annotations
• Authenticate and authorize access to Shopify APIs

Important: While we access order data to calculate sales metrics, we do not store any customer personal information (names, email addresses, shipping addresses, phone numbers, etc.). Order data is retrieved in real-time from Shopify for display purposes only.

4. Data Storage

Your annotation data and access tokens are stored securely using Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare KV storage. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., through Shopify APIs).

What We Store:

• Your Shopify access tokens (encrypted)
• Your annotations (titles, descriptions, dates, colors)

What We Don't Store:

• Customer personal information
• Product details
• Order line items
• Any sensitive customer data

5. Data Access and Permissions

The app requires the following Shopify API permissions:

• read_orders: To access order data and calculate sales metrics
• read_all_orders: To access your complete order history, including historical orders

These permissions allow us to retrieve order dates and amounts to display sales analytics. We access only the minimum data necessary to provide the app's functionality and do not store customer personal information or order details.

6. Data Retention

Your annotation data is retained as long as you use the app. If you uninstall the app, your access tokens and stored annotations may be deleted. Order data is retrieved in real-time from Shopify for display purposes and is not permanently stored by us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored by the app
• Delete your annotations at any time through the app interface
• Revoke API access by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store
• Request deletion of your data by contacting us

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption, secure API authentication, and regular security assessments.

9. Third-Party Services

The app integrates with Shopify's services to provide functionality. Your use of Shopify services is also governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
